BED BUGS PREFER HUMANS, FLEAS PREFER ANIMALS
Bed bugs feed primarily on human blood and can be found in narrow cracks and crevices in mattresses, box springs, and other furniture.
They mainly bite during the night when people are sleeping and will not notice. Their bites are red, itchy and can swell.
Fleas, on the other hand, feed primarily on animal blood and are usually found around animals such as dogs, cats, and rats. However, they can also jump onto humans and feed on human blood. Their bites are also red, itchy and can swell.
They are mainly found on legs and ankles whereas bed bug bites can be found on legs but also arms, neck and face. Both bed bugs and fleas are small and difficult to spot.
