About SESG
As many of Singapore’s enterprises, big and small, have seen their business decline as a result of the global pandemic, a new initiative is now aiming to change that. Together with Swedish multinational companies based in Singapore, local small and medium-sized enterprises have recently started a hands-on partnership program, the SESG Initiative, to exchange experiences and develop their respective businesses.
SESG is a long-term initiative to strengthen bonds between Swedish MNCs and Singaporean SMEs operating in Singapore that centered around mutual exchange of experiences, expertise, and opportunities between large foreign corporations and small local enterprises and encourages other businesses to do the same. As a start, 12 Swedish MNCs have partnered with 12 Singaporean SMEs. The Swedish companies involved in the program are Anticimex, Astrazeneca, Atlas Copco, Axis, Camfil, Electrolux, Ericsson, Hexagon, H&M, Saab, Stena and Trelleborg.

It’s in times of crisis that we take stock of what really matters. The world is re-evaluating how to move forward. As business leaders, so should we.
We are proud to be a partner of SESG – a SwedCham Singapore initiative that brings Swedish MNCs and Singaporean SMEs together to exchange experiences and opportunities. Because in these turbulent times, businesses, big or small, need to stand together to emerge stronger. Let’s #StandTogetherSESG. To establish awareness and spark conversation, our advertisements have been rolled out on billboards and buses all over the island.

Chia took over INHOME, a traditional hardware store, from his father a few years back. As the pandemic hit Singapore, Chia realized that he needed to urgently work out a digitalization plan for the company. He continues to develop e-commerce store today and sees many opportunities to expand the product offering online. By partnering with a giant like Anticimex, he’s hoping to get an even bigger boost.
